THE FOUNDER
Meet James
Before founding Rock Solid Electrical in 2019, James Urquhart built his career around performance, craftsmanship, and service.
His background began in hospitality and facilities management, where he learned the importance of problem solving under pressure, attention to detail, and delivering a five-star customer experience.
He later transitioned into the commercial fire alarm industry, contributing to projects for companies including Bayer, Shell, Novartis, XOMA, and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority.
These high-performance environments demanded precision, safety, communication, and execution with zero margin for error. These standards continue to shape every Rock Solid project today.
James replaced an old interior electrical panel and made the process seamless and easy from start to finish. He was highly responsive when I initially contacted him, he kept me abreast of progress throughout the job, and he got the work done quickly and efficiently. Meet Alan
RaIsed in San Rafael, Alan brings over a decade of hands-on construction experience and a calm, thoughtful approach to every project he steps onto.
